disconnected

looking back this past year, I've had the chance to meet a bunch of people, make some connects, say hi to people I never cared to introduce myself to. but now that I think about it I haven't met anyone on a more meaningful level.
Some people i've only said what up to and thats as far as it goes. People I see constantly and stupid me only connect with them on a surface level.

Have I lost the ability to connect with fellow man?

it's come down to a combination; being jaded, being lazy, and getting too comfortable in my fortress of solitude.

I respect kids so much, they're so pure in human nature. they can connect so easily. and kids naturally are fearless.
life is what tires them out, teaches them to be afraid, making them into solitary beings.

somethings gotta give, can't live this way. gotta get back to the basics, come back down to planet earth.

ps. turns out babies at birth know how to swim too! as they grow they inhibit themselves from this natural skill. duck me.
